Japanese contemporary artist Tatsuo Miyajima is searching for native speakers of Uyghur in his upcoming art project Counter Voice Network. Counter Voice Network is an immersive sound installation that aims to collect audios of counting numbers in various languages from around the world. The project seeks to present a diverse and inclusive collection of voices, reflecting the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of our global community. CESSI will be opening a supplemental Title VIII Fellowship competition and are encouraging eligible candidates to apply! The Title VIII fellowship is funded by the U.S. Department of State and covers full tuition at CESSI as well as a $2,500 stipend. The Title VIII fellowship is open to U.S. citizens who are graduate students, post-baccalaureate scholars, or working professionals.
