Pazilaiti “Passu” Simayjiang (Pezilet Ismailjan) was still a minor when she co-founded the Feministinen puolue (Feminist Party of Finland). She was elected as Vice President of the party when she turned 18 in 2017. Passu has also worked for the City of Helsinki as a member of the Youth Council of Helsinki Culture and Leisure Board. She is often in the public eye, speaking on pertinent social issues and promoting awareness of the plight of the Uyghur people.
Passu also participated in the annual Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network workshop in Belgium as one of the 32 young leaders representing 25 countries across Europe and the United States.
