Mushtari Islamova is a talented musician. The daughter of a famous singer, Ablakhat Islamov, and actress, Sumbat Gheniyarova, Mushtari began performing when she was only three years old. Her primary musical focuses lie in violin and singing. She began learning to play the violin at age 6. She continued on to study violin and music in University in the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Mushtari has also been on Yipak Yoli Sadasi, making it to the semifinals and being in the top 16 out of 2000 contestants that season.
Originally in her music career, Mushtari preferred to perform more popular pieces. However, she is currently attracted to Uyghur music, and spends time collaborating with modern Uyghur-folk bands and combining traditional music with contemporary trends. Her first solo concert in the Almaty’s Uyghur National Theatre was completely sold out, and she has had many more successful solo concerts since. Overall, she aims to popularize music from Uyghur heritage.
