Mahire Ilyas is a brilliant research scientist based in Japan. Prior to her arrival in Japan, Dr. Mahire Ilyas completed her bachelor's degree in medicine from Xinjiang Medical University. By 2015, she was admitted to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department at Tokushima University in Japan with a full scholarship, and earned her doctorate in 2019 with honors. After graduating from her doctorate, she has been working as a professor’s assistant and doctoral research supervisor in the gynecology department at the same university.
Mahira has published a range of scholarly articles in international journals, including two as first author and 27 as a co-author. Her third first-author paper will be published soon. Congrats! Dr. Mahire has presented her research in a range of scientific conferences, including the Endocrine Society (ENDO), the World Congress of Reproductive Biology (WCRB), the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG), and the Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine (JSRM).
In addition, Mahira is a visiting lecturer at the International Society for Cultural Exchange, and attends various primary and secondary schools in Japan to convey basic medical knowledge while also introducing Uyghurs and Uyghur culture to Japanese students. She has received many letters of thanks from school principals and students for her work!
Mahire actively participates in community gatherings in her hometown and continues to promote Uyghur culture along with her family, and has been featured in her local newspapers, magazines and TV. In the next few years, she plans to continue pursuing her research, and to develop a health program on Uyghur women's health on YouTube.
