Introducing Sarvenaz, 19, a Behavioural Neuroscience student from Canada!
1. What inspires you the most?
Every Uyghur that is living in exile from our homeland. I see our parents and I know that many of them never chose to leave their homes and loved ones.
Acknowledging the work our parents put in for us to be able to have the life we do is something that inspires me to work harder in my daily life.
2. What is the most important lesson you have learned recently?
Every obstacle in life is only there to shape you into the stronger and maturer person you will be in the years to come. You never actually fail in life, you have moments where you aren’t where you want to be but you get passed those moments and end up exactly where you are supposed to be.
3. What are your short-term goals?
To make connections that will benefit my advocating, practice public speaking and to take all the opportunities that come my way. I also want to start being vocal and active when it comes to climate control, to play my part in saving our home.
