Introducing Fatma Nur, a Biomedical Engineering student based in Turkey!
1. What are you passionate about?
Bringing awareness to the Uyghur cause. In contradiction to the thought that Turkish people are mostly aware about uyghurs, this is sadly not the case. Me and my friends try to enlighten our fellow students at uni about uyghurs, working for the refugees in turkey and collecting donations.
2. How have you spent the last year?
I got accepted into the “Habitat“ Society. Our goal is to teach kids basic coding & algorithm in order to introduce our next generation to future technology. I also joined the “Future Women of Engineering“ Club at my uni to fight against prejudices & injustice of women in Turkey’s engineering field.
3. What is the most important lesson you have learnt recently?
As long as you are breathing, you gotta keep fighting. Because as long as you’re trying there is hope. Strive for your goals by getting out of your comfort zone.
