Congratulations to Elnigar Iltebir, who was recently appointed Director for China at the National Security Council by The White House administration! Elnigar moved to the US as a teenager with her family and went on to receive her BA in International Relations at The George Washington University, her MPP in International Security and Political Economy at Harvard Kennedy School, and her PhD in International Security and Economic Policy at the University of Maryland. Her educational and personal background as an active member of the Uyghur community make her the perfect candidate for her new role in the White House! She will be managing China policy on issues related to trade, military, and human rights. Good luck in your new role!
