Almira is currently a clinical physiotherapist at a hospital based in Sydney, as well as a private tutor.
In 2010, she moved from Urumqi to Sydney, Australia. Almira finished high school with an ATAR of 98.5 in 2014, and was offered a scholarship from the University of Sydney to study physiotherapy!
She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2018, completing her first academic paper titled “Clinical practice guidelines for neck pain. A systematic review of guidelines quality and recommendations.” She was later elected for the NSW Graduate Allocations program and is now working in a hospital as a clinical physiotherapist. Congrats!
Alongside her work as a physiotherapist, Almira is pursuing her passion for teaching and education by opening a private tutoring business for maths, science and English! She wants to help her Uyghur community by including classes in Uyghur, and to help local Uyghur youth learn the language and culture.
Almira has previously worked as an Uyghur translator and interpreter, and offers these services for free when needed. You can contact her if you need a translator/interpreter.
We wish you continued success!
