Alimjan Ablet hails from Aksu, but has been based in Turkey since 2011. He has a passion for studying foreign relations. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the China Foreign Affairs University (北京外交大学) majoring in Diplomacy.
Then, after moving to Turkey he earned his Master’s degree from Ankara University, majoring in International Relations as a member of the Political Science Faculty. During this time, he assisted the Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Kalkınma Bakanlığı Project which highlighted Turkey’s multicultural environment.
He also took on several projects while studying to earn his Doctoral Degree in International Relations from Konya Selçuk University. Working with the Humanitarian Relief Foundation, he helped with the introduction of Uyghurs in Bursa, Turkey. In 2014, he helped organize the first Doppa Festival in Turkey. In 2015, he published a book on Sino-Israeli Relations in the late 1900’s.
Outside of studying foreign relations, Alimjan is a writer! He has written several Uyghur poems about the experiences of international students.
